A prequel toThrone of Glass, this collection of five novellas offers readers adeeper look into the history of this cunning assassin and herenthralling-and deadly-world.Included in this volume:The Assassin and the Pirate LordThe Assassin and the HealerThe Assassin and the DesertThe Assassin and the UnderworldThe Assassin and the Empire Another great book by Sarah j Maas it ties up everything with Sam that was explained in the series so I enjoyed reading it at the end of the series.

I love this series! I had to get the half books to know the background of some characters!! It’s about an assassin who does the kings bidding to save her self from enslavement, but she realizes that she is destined for bigger things!
Such a good book! You get lost in it. I will definitely be reading the rest of the books.
First, if you like Maas’ Court of Thorns series, do not bother with this series.Second, this book is the only interesting, concisely written book in the entire series. If you decide to read the series, this book will help you with the future characters. All of these characters are mentioned later on in the series.

(Series as a whole) love the story, it’s well thought out and has a lot of unexpected twists. SJM is an amazing writer! But I prefer ACOTAR honestly. In the throne of glass series it bounces between characters way too much and honestly it was hard for me to stay interested. Absolutely love the main characters (Celena, aelin, and Rowan) wish would have been more focus on them and less on every side character that came along. Most of the point of views didn’t really add anything to the story. By the time I got to the last 2 books I just wanted to be done with it.

Characters are very likable, its well thought out, and it’s an amazing story if you have the patience to get through it. Can’t wait to read more from this author but this particular series just didn’t do it for me.
Another good book but I think it would have better to read it as the first book of the series. Either way, it wad a good book.
