                       FOREWORD

Had this book been written five hundred years ago, William Gray would have been seized by the Inquisition and burned at the stake. What a bonfire he and the book would have made together!

As it stands now, he is destined to be read by a host of readers drawn to the intriguing title in search of dramatic and secret formulae with which they might take the Kingdom of Heaven by storm. Of course they will be disappointed.

A few however will find here what they have long searched for— a well-written, well-conceived and highly provocative text that clarifies many 'occult and recondite' themes, to borrow the clich6 of the illustrious McGregor Mathers.

Gray's treatment and elaboration of Telesmic Images (known in other quarters as Telesmatic Images) alone is worth the effort required to study the book.
