According to industry experts, satellite services revenues increased 18% worldwide in 2007, with satellite TV contributing about 75% of the overall satellite services revenues of $78.6 Billion AUD (equivalent to over US $63 Billion).
The total number of satellite TV subscribers increased by more than 13% over 2006 levels, crossing the 100 million mark globally. during the period 2006 to mid 2008. Forecasts are predicting that the growth will hit 350% by the year 2013, with an average annual growth of 35%.
